The "Y" Factor!

Have you ever wondered why many marriages end after a few years? Many times its disturbing because before the couple came to be one, their show of love for each other was enviable. What then, changed?

Did the love die off? Did someone do something gravely wrong? What exactly happened to a once great home? Among many factors that cause a divorce, one that is dominant especially in the African continent is what i choose to call the "Y" factor. What exactly is the "Y" factor?
First, there is a need for a baby in every new home. But just then, spouses begin to have personal choices for a gender specific baby! I was walking the streets of my immediate community, then i recalled i had not seen a family i knew in months. After few inquiries, i learned they had moved to another vicinity. And that wasn't just the news, the family now had 5 girl children and just a single male child!!!!

My worry was not in the number of girl children the family had but the age gap between them. Among the five, the highest age gap was 3 years. The husband however, is said to be the reason of such "no-distance" delivery, one after another - why? He needs another male child.

I then just hoped that he wouldn't accuse his wife for not giving him a male child  and file a divorce or begin beating her up!

The men folk should know that their partners are not responsible for them not having a male child. Genetics and hereditary has it that, the chromosome necessary for bearing a male child is made available ONLY by the males. That chromosome is called the "Y" chromosome.

The purpose of today's post is simple,
  • To help families Understand how a male child is birth (surface information)
  • To make the male gender realize, their partners are not to blame for lack of male kids
  • To make the "Y" factor loose its place as the cause of divorce in families
With that been said, i wish you all a splendid day and a happier home! (to the married of course)
